Endorsements for Jeannie M. Lagorio

“Jeannie joined  Hinden, Grueskin & Aguirre as an associate in mid 2002 in the Indio office handling workers’ compensation cases for injured workers. She was persistent in gaining knowledge of the applicable body of law, management of cases, and strategies for achieving excellent settlements for injured workers. She was aggressive and tenacious in dealing with opposing counsel and judges, while being patient and sympathetic with our clients. She showed no fear in trying cases or “mixing it up” with the judges in their chambers.

I marveled at the size of the settlements Jeannie obtained for the injured workers. She developed the reputation of a compelling advocate for her clients, with the ability to get along with opposing counsel and judges as necessary to meet desired results. She spent the necessary time with our clients to keep them completely informed as to status and strategy for their case, always with their best interest in mind.

Jeannie became the managing attorney of our Indio office. In that position, she exhibited the qualities that such a position demands. She is highly organized, enthusiastic, decisive, and open to new and different ideas. Her judgement is sound; she retains her composure while under pressure; she understands how to relate to people, giving them the respect they deserve, while obtaining adherence to her high standards.

It was my sincere pleasure to work with Jeannie. If I were starting a firm and wanted a partner, she would be my first choice. If any of my family or friends needed an excellent attorney to represent them in a work injury case, she would be the one to trust.“

- Ronald Grueskin, Esq.

“If you have been injured on the job, you will be in good hands with Jeannie Lagorio on your side. I have found Jeannie to be very conscientious and caring about her clients.  She always  works hard to obtain the best available result. Jeannie has extensive knowledge of the California Workers Compensation System and is familiar with the local Workers Compensation Appeals Boards and the parties that practice there. She is also a respected member of the local legal community. I would certainly recommend her to my friends and family.“

- Scott Jelensky, Esq.

She consistently brings aggressive and effective representation for her clients. Jeannie’s attention to detail is outstanding, and she makes sure that her clients receive all the benefits they are entitled to. She will “go to the mat” for her clients. She is highly recommended.“

Endorsements for Angelica M. Valdez

“For several years Angelica Valdez worked as a secretary and paralegal at the Indio office of our workers compensation firm, Hinden, Grueskin & Aguirre. She was born and raised in the Coachella Valley and was passionate about representing injured workers. She was excellent with clients, a very quick learner, patient, and worked very hard to make our clients comfortable while going through the workers compensation process. She never hesitated to perform whatever was necessary to make our office run smoothly, whether it was intake, secretarial, vocational rehabilitation, or even menial tasks. During her time with us, of her own volition, she sought to and did increase her skills by taking a number of evening classes at our local junior college. She will be a valuable asset for anyone representing injured workers.“

- Ronald Grueskin, Esq.

“I am an M.D. graduate in Mexico and have worked with orthopedists, physiatrists and chiropractors within the workers’ compensation system. I have had the pleasure of knowing Angelica for well over 10 years. Through the years, I have relied on Angelica’s knowledge of the workers’ compensation system both in the medical arena as well as in the legal aspects. She is a knowledgeable individual who requires minimal training and serves as an excellent leader and advocate.“

- Dr. Antonio Alcantar, General Practitioner, UABC Faculty of Medicine

“Our companies have been involved in infrastructure and housing development for over 30 years. Needless to say I’ve experienced the spectrum of situations involving workplace safety and work-related injury. I’ve known Angelica, a Coachella Valley native, since the early 1990’s when she was working with personal injury and workers’ compensation attorneys. Angelica has always been compassionately attentive with the firm’s clients and good with follow through. She is an intuitive and driven professional who has great social skills and connects well with people. In addition to working with Angelica, I have been blessed to witness her personal growth over the years. She has continued her education at the local universities, as testimony to how serious she is regarding her knowledge and credibility toward serving others within her profession and community.   Within the Workers’ Compensation arena, Angelica has been a great vocational rehabilitation authority and a competent and friendly intake specialist for injured workers.“

- Edwin Calvin Cree, Imperial Valley Equities

“I have had the pleasure of being Angelica Valdez’ instructor for the better part of this last year (2017-2018). Angelica Valdez has been pursuing a higher level of education in order to obtain her certificate in Drug and Alcohol Counseling (ADAC) at the California Nurses Educational Institute. What I can comment on relating to Angelica is that she is a consistently great student on various levels. Mrs. Valdez participates, scores extremely high on quizzes and exams and has been an overall excellent example of what I expect of a student. Self-care is an indispensable aspect of what I teach and her own experiences and how she has dealt with her own adversities have become examples to my class of how to best preserve and endure. I recognize in Angelica commitment and also a highly perceptive individual who can understand whatever information is given. I do not offer this recommendation lightly and if I can make any statement that might stick I would say that I trust her with my best interests and would trust her with taking care of yours as well. Personally and professionally I am quite impressed with Angelica and her capacity for compassion as I feel that kindness is unbelievably underrated in 2018. She is both, what I call, mechanic and healer. She grasps easily what needs to be accomplished and does it with such a human touch that others feel it immediately.“
