Firm Profile

Pursuing a claim for a work related injury can be very confusing and overwhelming. It is not uncommon for injured workers to experience difficulties in dealing directly with insurance companies following an injury. Insurance companies are in the business to make and save money, more than pay out money to injured workers. At Lagorio Law Group, we are aware of tactics and strategies used by insurance companies in that Jeannie Lagorio has represented not only injured workers but also has extensive experience representing insurance companies and large employers.

At Lagorio Law Group, we support and represent you through the process in a compassionate and trustworthy manner. We get you the medical treatment and benefits to which you are entitled. Our primary concern is your wellbeing, whether it be getting you medical treatment, compensation for your temporary inability to work following an injury, compensation for permanent disability, or getting you back to work. We focus on fighting on your behalf whether it be through a settlement or proceeding to trial if necessary.

Combined, our office has approximately 40 years of experience in the California Workers’ Compensation System. We are a bilingual office and represent injured workers in numerous types of work related injuries regardless of the extent of the injury.

We do not simply advertise as practicing in the Coachella Valley; we HAVE OUR LOCAL OFFICE RIGHT HERE IN PALM DESERT.  We are available here locally for our clients to stop in any time during office hours for information on their case or to get questions answered.  If you cannot travel to us for a consultation and case analysis, we will come to you. In addition to representing injured workers in the Coachella Valley, we also represent injured workers throughout the Inland Empire. Please see the bottom of our main home page for a partial list of cities we serve.

We provide you with a FREE case analysis and consultation. You pay no direct out of pocket fee.  The attorney’s fee for representation gets paid only if we are successful in securing compensation  for you. The fee is then paid at the end of your case out of the settlement/recovery proceeds, with the standard fee being only 15%. Contact us today. Allow us the privilege of protecting your rights and improving your quality of life.

Angelica M. Valdez

Paralegal
20+ years experience in Worker's Compensation

Angie Valdez has over twenty years of experience in the Workers’ Compensation arena. Her passion for working on behalf of injured workers has its roots in her childhood.

Angie is a native to the Coachella Valley, and the youngest of twelve children. At the age of 12 she picked grapes for Coachella Valley farmers. As a child, she and her parents picketed with Cesar Chavez for dignified working conditions. She was a migrant worker along with her family, traveling from the Coachella Valley to Fresno, Delano, and Madera. Angie was thankful that one of the field owners, Billy Steinberg, counseled her mother to get her out of the fields and into school. Angie also watched her parents work hard labor in the fields. She was a witness to their work injuries and fear of filing claims due to the fact they could not speak English and could not afford to lose their jobs. It is that knowledge and experience that makes her passionate to do whatever she can to assist injured workers. Her work is not a mere profession but is her calling.

In her profession as a paralegal, Angie has held numerous positions, including Intake Specialist for new clients, Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist, Case Management Specialist, Sr. Litigation Specialist, Law Office Manager, Medical Billing Clerk, and Chiropractic Office Manager. She treats injured workers with compassion, kind dignity and respect. Her Spirit, coupled with twenty plus years of experience in the Worker’s Compensation arena, has made her a perfect advocate for injured workers.
